The accounting department is where everybody counts. Literally and figuratively. Our accounts manager has been working here for a while and means a great deal to us so we decided to celebrate his two year anniversary at Nordic Intent with a lot of pomp and fanfare. We had a cake which he unfortunately couldn’t eat, given his penchant for healthy, sugar-free fare. But the rest of us were only too happy to eat it on his behalf.
Even though he refuses to eat cake, our accounts manager is a pretty cool person. Not only has he gone out of his way to help the company, he has also burned the midnight oil more times than a final year MBBS student when it comes to company matters. This celebration was a surprise which startled him enough to ask us why we got him a cake which is ridiculous because the only right thing to say after somebody’s placed a cake in front of you is “I’m eating that.”
In the two years that he has been with us, we’ve been fortunate enough to get to know him as a person. Not only is he a brilliant accountant, but also a great friend. So much so that everybody insisted on saying a few nice words about him. We look forward to celebrating many more years of our accounts manager being a part of Nordic Intent because we’re lucky to have him!
