Businessmen all across the globe are not new to BNI. Among many other business networking organisations, BNI India is the largest and most successful way to increase business based on referral policies. A reason for its huge success is the opportunity it offers to all its members and thus plays a huge role in helping Nordic Intent grow. It allows everyone to share ideas, contacts and business referrals which in turn convert to paying clients.
Maintaining that work-life balance
That being said, BNI is not all work and no fun! They sure know how to keep its member’s minds and hearts young and fresh. BNI Goa conducted its annual Sports Day for the Goa region on the 26th of January, which also happened to be the Republic Day, in India. A plethora of sports activities took place at the multipurpose sports complex in Peddem, Mapusa, where all the members came in whole-heartedly to compete for their respective chapters.
Nordic Intent, who belong to the BNI Elegance chapter in Goa, saw a bunch of talented people off the business field. The members sported jerseys that were designed by Nordic Intent and sponsored by Wooden Homes India, CH Water Proofing, Supershine Facilities, Skylark Developers, Seline’s Salon & Spa, Architect Rita Modi Joshi, Renz Marketing Enterprises, Parsekar Foods, Adv. Melwin Viegas, Hindustan Pavers & Blocks and Happy Homes. In colours representing their chapter, BNI Elegance emerged runners up in the cricket championship and the overall winners of the fun event. Although the team consisted of members from all the above-mentioned businesses, they performed as one squad.
Other highlights of sports day included Athletics, Table Tennis, Carrom, Badminton and Shotput. One of our founders, Judah Fernandez, bagged first place in Shotput and had the time of his life participating in the Cricket tournament, quoting it “The best Championship of his life!”
BNI chapters around the world, aim to provide an environment that not only ensures you have all the professional business skills but also socialising skills in a non-work arena. It does so to help everyone develop personal relationships with a bunch of other qualified working professionals. With a mission built on establishing “formal” relationships with people, they provide opportunities to substantially grow business. Nordic Intent takes the above motto very seriously, ensuring measures that take care of its employees and avoid them from experiencing burnouts. With starting Monday morning meetings with funny or motivational videos, to a challenging foosball afternoon session, the Nordics sure know how to make all its employees and clients happy.
