While this past Saturday was a working one for all at Nordic Intent, the Activity Club that was recently launched decided to break the monotony of work by organizing a tournament of Seven Tiles which will continue on 3rd March after working hours.
The fun began at five pm on 16th February with four teams comprising of six people each from all of the agencies under Nordic Intent. Nostalgia took over as the teams from Nordic Intent, NineStack, Kodework, and Creometric/Fat Hamster/CreoPlay reminisced about playing Seven Tiles back in the day.
The Activity Club began the tournament by inviting the teams to draw lots to decide the order in which the teams would play and the rules were explained to the participants. Every game had two innings with each of these lasting ten minutes. By the end of the day, almost every team had squared off against each other with four matches having been played. Each team now has just one match each left to play with the final two teams going for the gold on the next working Saturday.
Seven Tiles is a game that almost everyone has played in their childhood. Popularly known as Lagori in Kannada, this traditional game is still played in rural and semi-urban areas across India. Everyone from the respective agencies was extremely excited to revisit their childhood days and competitiveness ruled supreme in the first part of the tournament.
This tournament is only the beginning of what will be some fantastic activities hosted by the Activity Club and everyone is eagerly looking forward to all the upcoming fun in the future.
