For most of us, Monday mornings at a digital marketing agency mark the start of long working hours, multiple client briefs and even the office blues.
But one particular Monday, the Creometric team decided to kick start their week with a challenge that was as creative as it was challenging. In a squabble between two co-workers, a truce was declared – A Dip Competition.
In spite of the challenge being officially announced a few days before the actual show-down, the team did an excellent job of gathering up their favorite ingredients over the weekend to present their creations the following Monday, May 20. The employees started their morning strong; completing pending tasks and submitting them so they could clear the evening for Creo’s Nachonal Monday Dip-Day.
The competition was to be judged on only one parameter – Taste! Everyone showed up enthusiastically, not knowing what anyone else was bringing to the table – literally.
Each dip was anonymously labeled from A to G and the best one would be declared by the senior managers who rated them from 1-5 with a Nacho chip.
From dips to salsas, and even hummus, the dips were rated and five distinctive combinations stood out:
Arabic Garlic Sauce
An earthy, pungent dip, garnished with Coriander.
This classic was a blend of ground garlic, cream cheese, and yogurt tossed together with crushed pepper and finely chopped coriander.
Mango Salsa
Who knew ripe mangoes and spring onions would taste so delightful?
Try this recipe out for yourself. Here’s the Mango Salsa Recipe.
Jalapeno Flip
An egg-white based creamy concoction.
This chunky dip was a mix of finely chopped jalapenos, diced cucumber, tomato and a secret Mexican salsa that was tangy and a tad bit spicy.
The Mash-Up
This one surprised us all. What we thought was cheese with a mix of cornflour, actually turned out to be creamy mashed potatoes!
Blended with a dash of almond milk and butter, roasted mustard and burnt garlic, this dip was the perfect almost vegan alternative to the regular heavy cheesy dips.
Sausage Dip
Grabbing everyone’s attention with pieces of hotdog sausages, this dip will be a favorite for any meat-lover. Perfect when paired with a pitcher of beer for game night, Sausage Dip is served warm with a thick bechamel cheese base and oregano seasoning.
After a successful dip buffet, the team got together and decided to make an effort towards more creative endeavors in the coming months as part of team building.
Team building is important when encouraging cohesive and lasting employee relationships at Creometric. Check out this time we had a Team building session with a Rally Car!
