“Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair…”
― Susan Polis Schutz
Except since the classes will be conducted indoors, there won’t be much sun, and wildflowers in the hair seems a little excessive but to each their own. Starting from 4th August, Nordic Intent employees are in for a real treat because bachata classes will be held every working Saturday on office premises post work, between 5 pm to 6 pm. Classes will begin this Saturday so come prepared to bust out your dance moves. And if it’s your two left feet you’re worried about, don’t be, because there’s a good chance everybody else is too worried about theirs to be paying you any mind.
Bachata is a type of dance done to bachata music (a genre of Latin American music that originated in the Dominican Republic). Unlike salsa, bachata does not have a lot of turn patterns. So, instead of fussing about spraining your ankle or landing awkwardly on your behind, you can limit yourself to worrying about not stepping on the next person’s toes. And the good people of the Shai-N Dance Academy including Nordic Intent’s Andre Shackleton who is an instructor at Shai-N will be there to help you every step of the way.
This gives everyone something to look forward to on a working Saturday!
