At Nordic Intent, we value our employees just as we value our clients. We believe that focused training of employees is essential and indispensable to a company’s growth, and we regularly organise training sessions with the aim of their professional development and growth.
In order to begin this week on a power note, we organised a training session conducted by Ms. Shwetha Pinto, VP of Human Resources, on Monday, the 28th of October, on ‘Accountability At Work’ for the employees of Kodework, our web development agency.
The primary objective of the training was to develop a culture of ownership and accountability at the workplace, which is part of a larger company goal to foster higher productivity and efficiency.
“Accountability breeds response-ability” as Stephen Covey put it, and this was the core of the training session. The trainees learned how ownership among employees can translate into innovation, time efficiency and quality results. In order to know how to instill this sense of accountability within the team, the trainer shared a few key tips and methods that could improve efficiency and productivity.
Some of the key notions highlighted during the session were the inefficiency of micromanagement, the significance of delegation of tasks and teamwork, the importance of setting attainable end goals, the effectiveness of positive reinforcement and constructive criticism, the power of setting examples and being a coach.
Going beyond methods, Ms. Pinto also encouraged the audience to implement these new ideas without worrying about failure, for this is usually one of the biggest hurdles in achieving change. She reminded the attendees that failure is, in fact, crucial to success, making it inevitable, and thus not necessarily a foe.
As part of our growth-focused strategy as an incubator, one of the essential services we provide our clients is company personnel training. If you’d like to know how we could help you achieve your Human Resources’ goals for accelerated growth, get in touch with us.
