Increasing productivity amongst the employees at the workplace is a common system that needs to be followed religiously in order to help any company grow. More often than not, working at an office might seem like a huge task that leaves you feeling exhausted and pressurized.
Last week, Nial Gouveia from Ninestack conducted a share-it session for his team that brought to surface a few workplace hacks you could adopt to kiss your inefficient and time-wasting habits goodbye.
Some of the points that were highlighted were the importance of prioritizing our attention towards completing the tasks we don’t like too much. This is believed to help decrease stress, increase confidence and avoid procrastination. Another vital tool to increase productivity is by ensuring a consistent sleeping pattern. This enables the person to be more concentrated in the workplace.
Another important habit to avoid at the workplace was to avoid multitasking since this actually wastes time and sometimes ends up in procrastination, affecting the flow of work. The meeting went on to introduce a few more work hack ideas. Everyone who attended had a lot to take back from this session.
It is very important to know how and what type of approaches or behaviour cause productivity to our company. We should learn to prioritize. We should learn to differentiate between relevant and irrelevant meetings. We should try to avoid distractions like chit-chatting with co-workers or simply using our mobile devices. If we just try a few of these things, we will notice the difference it makes at our workplace.
