In what is quickly going down as a tried, tested and highly popular tradition at Ninestack, they recently had their seventh ShareIt session. In this session, attendees were taken on a trip down memory lane, where they went back to the basics of programming. The session was conducted by the project manager at Ninestack on object-oriented programming.
Object-oriented programming takes the view that the focus should be placed on the objects one wants to manipulate rather than the logic required to manipulate them. This is in contrast to how programs have been historically viewed; as logical procedures that take input data, process it, and produce output data.
We’ve all heard the adage that a good foundation will build a sturdy house and that was the intention here too. Good coding will build great applications! Regardless of specialisations, this session was deemed necessary for all developers since this is a topic that forms the core of programming.
And the attendees seemed to think so too. Here’s what they had to say about the session:
“The session was enjoyable, fun and personally for me, a trip down memory lane where I had learnt the concepts back in college. The instructor drew on some great examples and was great at keeping the energy levels up and ensuring we were all engaged.”– .NET developer, Ninestack
“It was a great refresher session which has helped make our basics even stronger. The session also helped us clear any doubts and misconceptions that we held about object-oriented programming, which has enabled us to use the concept more efficiently.”
-Junior Xamarin Developer, Ninestack
“A talk on object-oriented programming is always interesting for a software developer irrespective of their work domain. This session helped us refresh those basics that we’d learnt back in college. The talk was made all the more interesting with the instructor’s use of real life examples and use cases in code.”
-Android Developer, Ninestack
