While on a recent trip to Norway, Nordic Intent visited the Blender Collective, which is a collection of 60 companies that deal with entertainment, art, film, digital media, communication, design and architecture, among others.
Blender Collective also has an office space called Hydrogenfabrikken, located in Fredrikstad and Halden, which they rent out to individuals and companies at certain monthly rates. There are amenities like meeting rooms, WiFi, etc., that members of the Blender Collective can make use off.
Membership also opens one up to a wide array of facilities like access to Blender Collective’s network of companies, facilitating collaborative projects between different member companies, participating in research projects and workshops.
Members can get involved in different, innovative projects, where they can cooperate with researchers and other development actors. They help members plan, fund and implement projects.
In addition to all of this, they also have an accelerator for startups, where they provide free office space, close guidance and supervision along with putting startups in touch with potential investors.
While at the Blender Collective, Nordic Intent visited three of their member companies; namely, Netron, Provinsen and Snø Designstudio.
Netron specialises in marketing on digital surfaces, content marketing, delivering 3D animations and movies to mobile applications and entire web solutions.
Provinsen is a design studio that crafts visual identities, product packaging and short films, in addition to organising regular lectures on the aforementioned and related topics.
The third member company, Snø designstudio is involved with product design, manufacturing design and graphic design.
This visit has been an unprecedented learning experience for Nordic Intent!
