It’s common to see clients visiting CreoMetric often. Some to discuss work and others to grab a coffee and talk about business. The atmosphere is usually electric and the vibe is sponsored by our good friends at #redbull 😉
While this setup is not unusual, today was a bit different down at Creometric. They were all set to welcome the delegates visiting them all the way from Zambia, for the first time.
The delegates included Hon. Sydney Mushanga – MP, Her Excellency, the High Commissioner, Mrs. Judith Kan’goma Kapijimpanga – who heads The High Commission of the Republic of Zambia to India, Mr. Pankaj Jain – Head of BNI India, D.B Raees – Member of BNI India and Mr. Andre Shackleton – International Business consultant and Advisor.
The objective of this meeting was to provide a solution to further boost tourism in Zambia.
Tourism holds the key to Zambia’s economic prosperity, contributing about 3.5 percent to the GDP of the country (statistics as of October 2017). Zambia is one of the most attractive destinations in Africa, full of astonishing diversity of wildlife and a place where one day you can canoe down a placid river and the next day you may want to raft through the raging rapids of the world famous Victoria Falls.
The country attracts both international and local tourists. Although the flow of tourists has not declined drastically, there hasn’t been a huge spike either. It just remains constant!
To address this issue and come to a solution of bettering the flow of tourism, Creometric presented an exhaustively researched case study. They addressed the various loopholes that exist and how Zambia tourism have been solely relying on search for advancing tourism on the digital platform and missing out on the other digital avenues available. They showcased like videos and successful marketing campaigns to help the delegates understand, how they, as a digital agency, can position Zambia – not just as a country, but as a brand.
The delegates were very impressed with the presentation and said that these ideas would definitely match their goal, which is – Anyone who thinks South Africa, must think about Zambia!
Creometric also introduced them to Augmented Reality (AR) and they were quite amazed by it all.
Hon. Sydney Mushanga applauded the ideas and was keen on shaking hands with Nordic Intent to handle their projects as well as other government websites. He also mentioned that he would want us to invest in mining, tourism and the agricultural industries. Apart from this, he was very impressed with another initiative we commenced a year ago – Bootcamp. He loved the idea of how Bootcamp absorbs the students, trains them and provides placement opportunities. He was of the opinion that such courses should be conducted in Zambia too, which will help in the growth of knowledge and advancement of the society there. Speaking on the same lines, he was highly amused and appreciative of how the youngsters at Creometric are using their talent the right way in terms of technology and are helping bridge the gap between problems and digital solutions.
Creometric also introduced them to CreoPlay, they were literally in love with this futuristic idea and asked if the CreoPlay tech team could visit Zambia to train students there, who in turn can train others.
Her Excellency, the High Commissioner, Mrs. Judith K.K. Kan’goma Kapijimpanga – who heads The High Commission of the Republic of Zambia to India was pleased too. She had loads of things to tell us about Zambia. She said that Zambia has been rated the safest and the best place for tourists. She mentioned that they did put in a little effort in marketing which did double their figures. She agreed that if the same was implemented on a larger scale, the benefits will definitely be much more. Plus, this would not just add up to the country’s economy but also contribute towards the world’s GDP.
The impressive stories at the meeting seemed to be never-ending as the delegates were also impressed by the successful campaign Creometric executed during the 2018 Goa Biz Fest. They said that during the month of October, they will be organizing a similar expo and would want Creometric to campaign for the same.
Yay! Creometric is surely going places. This time, it’s Zambia!
The fruitful meeting ended with Andre Skackleton saying, “This could be the beginning of our expansion into the African nations – via Zambia.”
Well, we definitely think it is!
Cheers to new beginnings!
