Nordic Intent believes in scouting for talent across Goa’s educational institutes on a regular basis. As part of the initiative, the team visited Padre Conceicao College of Engineering and Don Bosco College of Engineering on a placement drive.
While they were at each institute, they changed their strategy in speaking with the students, choosing to address them collectively rather than through one-on-one sessions as they have done in the past. Each member of the team introduced themselves and shared information about the company and also talked about the other agencies that form a part of Nordic Intent.
One team member talked about Nordic Intent and what the company does as well as about the three brothers that started this journey which culminated in its creation. He also shared details about the organization’s history which began with the building up of Kodework, the web development agency.
Another spoke about Bootcamp Goa, the training institute at Nordic Intent which also helps all its subsidiaries in finding potential employees through its various courses. She also impressed upon the students from both institutes that all of the companies need people that understand how the industry works and that they are trained as per the required standards.

The team members also offered some career guidance in terms of sharing their various experiences during their careers and how they got into Nordic Intent. Through these stories, they encouraged all present to follow their passion and find something they love instead of just taking up jobs.
In order to help the students get a better feel for all of Nordic Intent’s subsidiaries, the team gave them a form to fill up with their interests. They then asked everyone to look very carefully at each company and think about where they believed they could fit in and add value.
Also present at the placement drive were the Training and Placement Officers that wanted feedback regarding how many previous hires were still at these subsidiary companies. They shared their concerns on the same, mentioning that a lot of companies attend placement drives at these institutes but only a small percentage of students end up getting jobs. The Nordic Intent team assured them that what they were looking for were people that were passionate about the line and ready to put in the work required to make them a success.
It was a highly motivating and interactive placement drive which saw a lot of interest generated at both Padre Conceicao College of Engineering and the Don Bosco College of Engineering.
