With the country’s economic growth growing at a rapid pace, all eyes are on the Union Budget 2019 – 2020. For those from the trade and industry community, the topics they were most interested in were the Income Tax slab revision, removal of long-term Capital Gains Tax, abolition of the Angel Tax for the start-ups, waiving off the interest on loans taken by farmers, reform in GST structure and further lowering of rates and infrastructure status to real estate in India.
It was a fantastic experience for all present and a much-required precursor to the presentation of the Union Budget for 2019 – 2020. As Aaron Menezes said, “it gave everyone a clearer understanding of some of the amendments to the budget.”
