NineStack held yet another of their Share-It sessions last week. This time the topic was based on finding out what the customers’ needs are through user interviews. Anyone who offers products and services knows how important it is to create these with the customer in mind. In fact, it’s one of the most important aspects of any relationship between a customer and the business they are dealing with.
This was NineStack’s 16th Share-It session where the .Net Team Lead made a presentation titled, “How To Uncover Customer Needs Through User Research”. This session was aimed at teaching the team about the process used to connect to potential consumers of the products that they spend so much time working on.
From a business point of view, the ultimate success of a product or a service depends on how the user responds after using it. Hence, it becomes very important to get oneself acquainted with the user’s needs and motivations. In doing so, it would help the people involved in the process of creating the product, to humanise the entire process and create something which is relevant and user-friendly, ensuring that its users wouldn’t need to look for it from other sources.
Through the process of User Research, one can follow clear and practical steps to understand the user. “User interview” is one major technique that falls under this process. During these interviews, there is a need to create a comfortable space so as to help the consumer speak freely about his needs and expectations regarding the product. The NineStack team ensures that this is the case whenever they speak with their clients, which goes a long way in helping them do a good job and deliver their customers, an amazing product.
