Nordic Intent recently spent a weekend in Benaulim in South Goa. While there, they chanced upon one of Benaulim’s best restaurants, Cavatina Cuchina Grill and Bar. It is owned by Chef Avinash Martins who has years of experience in the culinary world.
One of the first things that come to mind when talking about Goa is food. Some of the most delectable dishes in India come from its smallest state. In Cavatina, Chef Avinash Martins has created a space that serves a melting pot of contemporary cuisine in his unique style, guaranteed to tantalize your taste buds.
Cavatina Cuchina Grill & Bar is quiet and unassuming with some truly mouthwatering continental dishes, some of which Nordic Intent tried out. Located close to Taj Exotica in Benaulim, the restaurant is small and has a warm and homely ambiance. It is simple, with air conditioning and there is even an old scooter at the entrance which has been incorporated into the restaurant’s decor. The walls are lined with quaint artwork which is said to have been painted by Chef Martins himself.
Team Nordic Intent sat down to a sumptuous meal at Cavatina. They had the all-time favorite – the watermelon, feta, and arugula salad served with a citrus balsamic drizzle. The tanginess of the citrus balsamic complemented the sweetness of the watermelon and the saltiness of the feta. For mains, they opted for medallions of tenderloin with an accompaniment of vegetables, home fries, and a sunny-side-up egg.
Overall, they had a fantastic experience at Cavatina Cuchina Grill & Bar. With such mouthwatering dishes and desserts on the menu, it is a given that this restaurant will see a lot more of Nordic Intent.
